Terms of Service
Who we are
This app is run by InWorks AI Corp, doing business as InWorks ("InWorks", "we"), 30 N Gould St, Ste N, Sheridan, WY. Contact: admin@inworks.co.
You do short recorded roleplay conversations with other people, to build voice datasets for AI. The app is in beta and is provided as is.
When you tick "I agree to the Terms of Service and Privacy Policy" on the sign-in screen, you agree to these terms and the Privacy Policy. You also confirm that you're 18 or older, not in Illinois, and recording only your own voice.
You must be 18 or older
After you sign in we ask your exact age. If you're under 18, we delete your sign-in right away, and that sign-in can't be used to sign up again.
Not available in Illinois
The app isn't available to Illinois residents or to anyone in Illinois. If the state you enter is Illinois, we stop before any account, photo or recording exists.
Why: Illinois law (the Biometric Information Privacy Act, section 15(c)) bans profiting from biometric data even with consent, and voice recordings may count as biometric data.
AI training license
You keep whatever rights you have in your voice. You give InWorks a license to record, store, copy, edit, license and sell your recordings and the data we derive from them, and to use both to train and develop AI. The license is worldwide, perpetual, irrevocable, royalty-free and transferable, and we can sublicense it.
Beta testers may receive a launch bonus at InWorks' discretion; no cash value is promised now.
Licensing and resale
We license and sell your recordings and the derived data, for money or other value, to AI companies, research labs and other partners in the US and other countries. They use them to train and develop AI, including models that generate speech or synthetic voices.
Partners get your recordings, the derived data, the roleplay scenario, and your self-reported age range, gender, first language, country and US state. They never get your name, email, phone number or photo. Files use a random speaker ID, but your voice can still identify you, so it isn't anonymous.
Right of publicity
Some laws let you control commercial use of your name, voice or likeness. This is your right of publicity. You waive it for the uses in these terms, including AI that may produce speech that sounds like you.
